Welcome to Susie Q’s

Susie Q’s sits on SE Port St Lucie Blvd as a classic local diner with a breakfast-first spirit. I find a place that feels calm, warm, and easy to settle into, with table service and fast pacing that suits early coffee runs, family meals, and solo stops. The room carries a cosy, quiet feel that fits the diner style, and the mix of locals, tourists, and regulars keeps it grounded in the community.

The menu leans into comfort food with a solid range of breakfast plates, brunch staples, lunch picks, and a few dinner options. Eggs Benedict, omelettes, Belgian waffles, breakfast sandwiches, home fries, biscuits and gravy, and chicken salad all stand out in local chatter. Prices sit in a friendly range for the area, with many meals landing around the $10 to $20 mark, and some breakfast combos under that. That makes it a practical spot for daily routines and weekend plans.

What gives Susie Q’s its place on a local dining list is consistency. Review after review points to hot food, quick plates, kind service, and portions that can stretch into another meal. I also notice the small local touch that sets it apart for visitors from the Tri-State area, with items like scrapple and pork roll on the board. Add great coffee, a tea selection, outdoor seating, and a steady stream of repeat guests, and the result feels like a diner with real neighborhood pull.

About

Susie Q’s is a diner and breakfast restaurant at 263 SE Port St Lucie Blvd in Port St. Lucie, Florida. It offers dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and outdoor seating, so it works for a quick bite, a relaxed brunch, or a sit-down meal. The setting feels casual and cosy, with a quiet tone that suits early mornings and slow coffee stops.

The location supports easy visits. I see wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance, seating, and toilet access, plus free street parking and a free parking lot. That mix helps families, groups, and solo diners alike. It also accepts reservations, which helps during the busier breakfast window, especially on weekends when the dining room fills fast.

Susie Q’s serves breakfast, lunch, dessert, and table service, with alcohol, beer, coffee, and comfort food on offer. Kids have a place here too, with high chairs and a kids’ menu. The crowd leans local, but tourists stop in for the diner feel and the menu range. I also like the small ritual some regulars seem to keep: early coffee, a breakfast plate, and a calm start before the day gets loud. That kind of routine gives the place its charm.

What People Say

Most Liked

Most guests praise the fast service and the steady quality. Hot plates, fresh coffee, and friendly staff come up again and again. The breakfast menu gets strong marks, with biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, omelettes, home fries, and breakfast sandwiches among the favorites. Pies also earn a lot of love, and the portions feel generous for the price.

Regulars like the familiar diner mood and the sense of place. Some come for scrapple, pork roll, or a breakfast that tastes close to home. Others like the farm-style interior, the quiet vibe, and the easy rhythm of a local spot where faces start to feel known. It has that small-town nod, the kind where a coffee refill can feel like part of the greeting.

Most Disliked

The main drawback is the rush at peak breakfast hours. Sunday around 10 AM gets packed, and Saturday can feel busy too. A wait may happen, and the room can sound full when repeat customers and weekend groups arrive together. If someone wants a calm visit, an early weekday stop suits better.

Some dishes run large, which is a plus for many diners, but not for everyone. A few guests may find the menu plain if they want a more modern cafe style or more variety in lunch and dinner. The space focuses on diner comfort rather than trend-driven dining, so the appeal depends on taste. Price notes stay favorable for most visitors, yet add-ons can shape the final bill, so a quick check at ordering helps.

This is one of the best places that you will find in St. Lucie County for breakfast. The food is consistently fantastic. The service is absolutely top-notch. The food is always hot, fresh, and quick to come out. The servers are some the best in town. If you are from the Tri-State area, you are in for a treat, as they have some options that are few and far between here in Florida. Including scrapple and pork roll. This place is an absolute must try for Port Saint Lucie!!!

I have been going here since I was a kid. 10+ years easily. The food is always consistent and they just have a solid breakfast. My dad and I are able to get out for around $14 with a basic breakfast. 2 eggs, meat, bread, side, plus I get a water. Breakfast Sandwich is amazing too. A few years ago they changed the interior design to a more farm feel which is nice, and everyone is super kind. So many memories here and I just never gave it a review. They have AMAZING pies as well.

Susie Q’s is hands down one of our favorite local diners! The staff makes you feel right at home and the food is always amazing. I had the fresh homemade chicken salad on a croissant and it was absolutely delicious—light, flavorful, and perfectly paired with a side of crisp cole slaw. Every visit is a reminder of why this place is such a local gem. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and even better service!

Delicious homestyle breakfast served in a cozy diner atmosphere. Serious attention to customers with numerous wait and support employees taking care of every detail! Good prices, and busy with repeat customers - always the best sign of a successful, good restaurant! Really enjoyed. My serving was too large for one meal, so I brought it home. Was delicious reheated the next day!

It's my morning 5 mile ride. 7:00 coffee & maybe breakfast, Nice relaxing family atmosphere. They get busy after 8. 5 miles back to the house, great start to the day.

This review is being written a month late but I promised myself I would leave kudos about how WELL the team on Valentine’s Day worked together. I went for breakfast with my husband and every staff member really pitched in. If one person was busy doing one thing, another person took over for them. One person refilled coffees throughout the restaurant, another served, another came by to check on us. Meal outings are such a great experience when the team works as great as they did that day. I wish more places did it like this. Food was tasty, pancakes fluffy, I like mine as pretty dense buttermilk pancakes but they were still enjoyable. I always look at breakfast places pics of their pancakes before going. (I’m trying to find a place that serves something similar to what I used to get back home in Chicago) Enjoy! Side note: I loved the sign that was in between the restroom doors. Very cute decor in the restaurant!

Nestled on SE Port St. Lucie Boulevard, Susie Q’s Diner is the kind of place that feels like home from the moment you step inside. The moment you’re greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon, you know you’re in for a treat. Open bright and early on weekdays and through mid-morning on weekends, Susie Q’s has built a well-earned reputation for serving generous portions of classic American breakfast and lunch fare with genuine warmth. Start your day with their fluffy Belgian waffles, perfectly golden and ready to be drenched in pure maple syrup, or dig into biscuits and gravy so rich and savory they practically melt in your mouth. Their home-style hash browns and crispy home fries come generously seasoned and offer a comforting crunch alongside eggs cooked just how you like them. For lunch, the patty melt steals the show—tender beef piled high with sautéed onions on buttery rye and served alongside extra-crispy fries. The chicken and waffles entrée brings together savory fried chicken and a light, airy waffle in a delightful sweet-and-salty harmony. What truly sets Susie Q’s apart is its staff. Servers remember your name, keep your coffee cup filled without prompting, and make sure every plate arrives hot. The cozy interior—checkerboard tile, vinyl booths, and friendly chatter—invites you to linger over a leisurely brunch or catch up with friends. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you’ll leave feeling both sated and welcomed, already planning your next visit. Susie Q’s Diner is more than just a meal; it’s a cherished community gathering spot where hearty food and genuine hospitality come together perfectly.
